Aurelien Metsch aka Natty Frenchy was born in Bordeaux, France and is now based in Brooklyn, New York. At the very young age of 3, his family moved to Ivory Coast, West Africa where he spent 10 years of his life growing up and was inspired by the culture, music and art of the rich continent. There he found his love for music and at the age of 24 moved across the oceans to land his feet in the heart of New York City to start his own career in music production. For over 25 years, he has performed as a freelance guitar player for several legendary reggae artists such as U-roy , Alton Ellis, John Holt, Ken Booth, Sizzla, Sean Paul, Toots and the Maytalls, The Meditation, Sister Caroll …just to name a few. Aside from his work as a guitarist, he has and holds the prestigious lead/Rhythm guitar role for the Congos (10 years) and currently for the legendary Skatalites band. He produced, co produce, engineer and mixed, co mix the two last Skatalites Albums “Walk with me” and “Platinum Ska” ! Also he produces several up and coming local and international artists including his own children who have also made a few debuts on his albums. His youngest son Raphael
just at the young age of 8 years old has picked up his love for music. He has written his first song which he named “Family” at the age of 7 that just has been released.
